I suppose this Hamburger Potato Casserole is like Hamburger Helper without the box. This is a truly kid-friendly meal that satisfies your comfort food cravings in one easy casserole.

Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
3 cups potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
½ cup onion, chopped
¾ cup milk
salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Directions
1Preheat oven to 350° F.
2In a medium skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef; drain fat.
3In a medium mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, onion, milk, salt and pepper to taste.
4Alternately layer the potatoes, soup mixture and meat in a 2-quart baking dish.
5Bake in the preheated oven for 1 to 1½ hours, or until potatoes are tender. Top with Cheddar cheese, and continue baking until cheese is melted.
