I had some leftover chili in the freezer and a box of Jiffy Cornbread mix and then this happened... Cornbread Waffles and Chili is a fantastic dinner solution.

Ingredients
1 (7.5 ounce) package corn muffin mix (such as Jiffy®)
¾ cup milk
1 egg
2 tablespoons butter, melted
¾ cup sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 (4 ounce) can green chile, chopped
4 cups chili with beans (your favorite chili)
Directions
1Preheat a waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions and lightly grease.
2Mix corn muffin mix, milk, egg, and butter together in a bowl until smooth; fold in cheese, and green chiles.
3Spoon batter into preheated waffle iron and cook according to manufacturer's instructions until golden brown, 5 to 10 minutes.
