I got this recipe years ago from my cousins, Tony and Lisette. This Curried Cauliflower Gratin is simple to make. It's cheesy, has a hint of curry powder, and bakes until it's golden brown and bubbly.

  • Prep: 5 mins
  • Cook: 20 mins
  • Yields: 2 Servings

Ingredients

½ pound cauliflower (about ½ head), cut into florets

Topping

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

½ teaspoon Dijon mustard

¼ teaspoon curry powder

½ cup cheddar cheese, grated

Directions

1Preheat the oven to 400° F.

2Blanche the cauliflower in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain.

3Put the cauliflower in a small gratin dish. Top with the cheese mixture. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown on top.

It was delicious – I added a little cream to the sauce and it helped it spread a bit more as I doubled the recipe. So delicious!

Bob will eat anything with mayo on it. Now, perhaps, I can get him to eat cauliflower without making a face!

Thanks, Leslie!

I don’t have cauliflower, but I have cabbage. I’m going to try it on the cabbage. I’m sure it will be delicious.
