Sausage, Apple, and Squash Sheet-Pan Supper with Fragrant Herb Oil

There is nothing easier than dinner on a sheet-pan. I love cooking with minimal effort. This Sausage, Apple, and Squash Sheet-Pan Supper with Fragrant Herb Oil is a perfect meal this time of year. You can buy butternut squash already cut up to make it even easier and you can use any combination of herbs. Also, you can use sweet Italian sausage or the spicy version. You can probably guess which one I used! I think the spicy sausage and the sweet butternut squash and apple is a winning combination of flavors.

Lobster Salad with Bibb Lettuce, Apple, and Tarragon Dressing

I wanted to make something "fancy" for dinner. The rich lobster, tart Granny Smith apples and creamy tarragon salad dressing on a bed of butter lettuce definitely added an air of elegance to my table. I will definitely make this again and probably use shrimp, due to my diminishing budget these days!

Apple Mille-Feuille

My daughter Zoe made this Apple Mille-Feuille for dessert. It's a rather odd way of using puff pastry by baking it between to baking sheets on top of each other. The end result is astounding. It's topped with a luscious bourbon laced whipped cream.

Apple Tart

I love Fall, everything about it. Unfortunately, I live in Los Angeles where you have to light a damn cinnamon candle and ask Alexa to play the sound of windy leaves to even conjure up the idea of fall. I recently bought two of these rectangular tart pans with removable bottoms. If I have a larger crowd I make two different tarts. This Apple Tart is easy to make using frozen puff pastry, which is something I ALWAYS have in the freezer.

Warm Brown Rice & Butternut Squash

Yesterday I posted a recipe using sweet potatoes and today here's a recipe for Warm Brown Rice & Butternut Squash from Ina Garten's new cookbook called Cook Like a Pro. It is outstanding! Will definitely be making this again! It can be served warm or at room temperature.

Farro with Vinegar-Glazed Sweet Potato and Apples

This Farro with Vinegar-Glazed Sweet Potato and Apples recipe is a wonderful combination of roasted sweet potato and apples with a little sherry vinegar, tossed with farro, dried cherries and roasted cashews. Farro is an ancient whole grain with dietary benefits. It's derived from wheat so it is not gluten-free.

Quick Apple Tart

This Quick Apple Tart Recipe makes a rustic dessert recipe that everyone loves! Instead of using apricot jam, I found Apple Cider Jam from Trader Joe's, though apricot works too. You can serve it with ice cream, whipped cream, powdered sugar….

Rosemary Apple Cake

I woke up one morning and decided I needed to make an Apple Rosemary Cake. This is peak apple season. I love getting different varieties of apples. The combination of rosemary and apple really works in this very simple cake. It gets topped off with a rosemary syrup.

Bourbon Apple Cake

This Bourbon Apple Cake is a great alternative to apple pie. It has a crunchy, crispy texture because it contains grits and the apples are cut into large chunks. It’s baked in a springform pan which makes it easy to remove the cake from the pan in one piece.
