Hot Honey

This Hot Honey ticks all the boxes for me - sweet and spicy. There are many ways to use it. One of my favorite ways is to use it on pepperoni pizza, really, it is fantastic. You can drizzle it on roasted vegetables, cheese, fried chicken, mix it in salad dressing, desserts, fruit... I, of course, used the hottest chiles, but you can make it to taste.

Beets In Orange-and-Lemon Sauce

I happen to love beets. I found this recipe for Beets in Orange-and-Lemon Sauce in one of my old cookbooks. When I served it to my husband and daughter Grace, they took one bite and said "WOW"! I have to admit they were incredible. The fresh citrus gives it a wonderful tart flavor which works really well with the sweetness of the beets.

Spicy-Sweet Sambal Pork Noodles

My daughter has a friend at Bon Appétit and he told her this was the best recipe they published this year. She made it and called me immediately to say it was the best thing she's ever eaten! So I made it last night and yes, these Spicy-Sweet Sambal Pork Noodles are all that and a bag of chips as my husband says. It's so good that you should make the full recipe. Apparently, it's even better the next day. Sambal is an Indonesian chili sauce or paste.

Grilled Salmon with Warm Pineapple Sauce

Now that I can finally access all my cookbooks, I found this recipe for Grilled Salmon with Warm Pineapple Sauce. I have to say, it's now my absolute favorite way to eat salmon. The recipe says to grill it, but I almost always roast it. The pineapple sauce is utter nirvana. It has jalapeños, shallots, ginger and orange juice, but the ingredient that takes it to a whole new level is curry powder. I added a little bit extra. The sauce would also work well with chicken or pork. If you like salmon, you must try it!

Chicken French – Rochester, NY Style

We had this Chicken French - Rochester, NY Style in a classic old-school restaurant called Charley Brown's when we were in Rochester. It's frozen in time around 1982. They have this dish on the menu called - Chicken French ~ egg-dipped, sautéed in sherry-lemon butter My husband Eric thought it was the best chicken he'd EVER had, which I have to agree!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

This Broccoli Cheese Soup is creamy, cheesy and comforting. It makes a great lunch. I made it in my Instant Pot, but have also included the stovetop instructions. The recipe is vegetarian, though you can use chicken stock instead of vegetable stock.

Beef Stew for Two

I love recipes that serve 2. You can scale this Beef Stew for Two up to serve more. I happened to have had a small chuck roast and all the other ingredients. I love when that happens! It's very flavorful and I made it in the Instant Pot, but also have included the stovetop instructions.

Creamy Corn and Chicken Chimichurri Soup

I recently posted a recipe for Channa Masala Tomato Soup using ingredients from Trader Joe’s. Here’s another idea that they served at the tasting station. This Creamy Corn and Chimichurri Soup, which I changed consists of TJ's Creamy Corn & Roasted Red Pepper Soup, Frozen Peruvian Style Chimichurri Rice and chicken. I served it with their Garlic Naan. It makes for an easy lunch.
You could add a cup of frozen corn instead of chicken.
