Emily’s English Roasted Potatoes

She also sends out a preview recipe, which I always make. This recipe for Emily's English Roasted Potatoes exceeded my expectations. Emily as in Emily Blunt the actress, who was on her show at one point and taught Ina this recipe. Anyone that knows me, knows I like crispy anything, especially potatoes. Sheet Pan Chicken with Fennel & Orange
I found this Sheet Pan Chicken with Fennel & Orange recipe from Waitrose, which is a British supermarket. I have to say, their recipe was wrong! I fixed it and it's delicious. Fennel has a strong licorice flavor, though when it's cooked mellows out and becomes lighter. The fennel fronds may be used as a garnish to other meats or roast fish, or chop it and use them instead of parsley and dill in sauces and soups. The best thing about these sheet pan dinners, is that there isn't much to clean up!

Maple and Miso Salmon
Miso paste is made from fermented soybeans and is a key ingredient in Japanese cooking and forms the base of the staple dish, miso soup. It adds a huge depth of flavor and I always try to have some in my refrigerator. The salty miso paste mixed with the sweet maple syrup is a match made in heaven. I absolutely love this combination of flavors.
