Day 5 – My Trip to Japan

Our friends picked us up and took us out for a wonderful lunch at Obika Mozzarella Bar.  Obika means “Here it is!”, which is a dialect from Naples Italy.

We were seated in a private room.  Our host is friends with the owner and he asked the chef to prepare a special menu for us.  He wanted there to be a slight Japanese twist.  The first course was a selection 3 different kinds of freshly made Mozzarella, meats and grilled edamame, which was the Japanese twist part. IMG_1258 We were then served Yellow Tuna Carpaccio with shallots and basil in olive oil – definitely Japanese!

Next we were served pizzas, which I failed to photograph.  They were too good, sorry!  Then we had pasta with roasted tomatoes, shrimp, crab and basil.

Panna Cotta with Berry Sauce – delicious!

We walked around in the drizzling rain and saw Tokyo Tower.
