Stir the Pot!

I’m sure I will get in some kind of hot water for this, but I suppose I should bring up Lady Gaga’s Meat Dress that she wore to the MTV Video Music Awards.  I personally think it’s brilliant.  I love watching all the “special” interest groups up in arms.   People take things way to seriously, she’s a performer for God’s sake!  If anything, it will probably make more people become vegans and vegetarians. Do you think if she wore a fish dress, people would go as crazy?

Do I think it was real – no.  It would have reeked too much and how could she have sat on Ellen Degeneres’ couch?  It also would go “off” color pretty quickly.  I don’t think Cher would have held Ms. Gaga’s meat purse if it were real.   I wonder if her purse contained a bottle of Ponzu sauce for later?

Just think about all the wonderful fake food in Japanese restaurant displays.  Someone gave me a box of plastic sushi once – it’s very convincing!

Basically, the meat dress did exactly what it was supposed to do – stir the pot!  I am all for that.  Life is too short and generally rather boring.
