These Jalapeño Cheese Crisps are truly addictive and they have no carbs!

Jalapeño Cheese Crisps

Ingredients

1 cup Sharp Cheddar or Monterrey Jack cheese, shredded

1 medium jalapeño, thinly sliced

Directions

1Preheat oven to 350º.

2Place a sheet of parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Scoop up 1 tablespoon of cheese and make a small pile on the parchment. Press it slightly flat. Repeat 15 more times.

3Place a slice of jalapeño on top of each.

4Put into 350º oven for about 12 minutes. Make sure they are browned. These are somewhat pliable if under browned. Allow them to completely cool and fully firm up before removing from the pan for best results.

Whenever I make tacos I have leftover cheese and just plop it on the hot frying pan to melt into something similar to these. I don’t share them, though — I consider it payment for my labor. 🙂
