I remember first having this Asparagus with Wasabi Mayonnaise years ago at a party in Indiana on Lake Michigan. The combination of wasabi, mayo, soy sauce, lemon juice and a pinch of sugar is ambrosial. I don't even like wasabi!

Ingredients

3 pounds thin asparagus

1 cup Mayonnaise

4 teaspoons soy sauce

1½ teaspoons sugar

2 teaspoons lemon juice

2 teaspoons wasabi paste

Directions

1Blanch asparagus. Whisk the rest of ingredients. Serve on the side with asparagus.
