Pasta with Tomato Alfredo Sauce & Basil

Try this Pasta with Tomato Alfredo Sauce & Basil. Alfredo sauce is made from butter and Parmesan cheese and used in dishes such as fettuccine Alfredo. This is a sauce is a mixture of Alfredo and tomato sauce. I also added some cherry tomatoes.

Ingredients

1 pound pasta

1 stick of butter

1 cup of heavy cream

1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated

2 cups marinara sauce

10 cherry or grape tomatoes, cut in half

basil leaves, chopped

Directions

1Melt butter slowly in a saucepan on a medium low heat, so the butter doesn't bubble. Whisk in the cream.

2Now remove the cream mixture from the heat and add the parmesan cheese. Slowly add the fresh marinara sauce and stir. Then at the cherry tomatoes.

3Cook the pasta according to package directions, drain and set aside.

4When the sauce is completely blended pour the pasta and top with basil.
