New Orleans coleslaw is a unique and flavorful take on classic slaw. It's characterized by its creamy, sweet, dressing, and toasted pecans, which give it a signature flavor and crunch. There are so many versions of this slaw, this one has mayo, buttermilk, maple syrup, and vinegar, which coats the shredded vegetables.

Ingredients
1 Savoy or white cabbage (about 2 pounds before trimming), trimmed and shredded
2 carrots, grated
2 sticks celery, sliced
4 scallions, sliced
1 cup mayonnaise
4 tablespoons buttermilk
2 tablespoons maple syrup
2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
⅔ cup pecan nuts, finely chopped
kosher salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
1Whisk together the mayonnaise, buttermilk, maple syrup and vinegar and coat the shredded vegetables with this dressing.
2Season, and toss through the chopped nuts.
