Try theses Grilled Fruit Packets for a backyard bbq. It's so fast and easy, great for this labor day weekend! My cousin Jeff made these grilled fruit packets for a backyard bbq.
Prep: 10 mins
Cook: 15 mins
Yields: 4 - 6 Servings
Ingredients
4 pieces of fruit, like apples, pears, peaches, etc., cored and sliced
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
2 Tablespoons softened butter
2 Tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Directions
1Combine brown sugar, butter, nutmeg and cinnamon in a bowl. Make 4 to 6, 18 inch aluminum foil squares. Place sliced fruit into each square. Spoon brown sugar mixture onto fruit, squeeze lemon juice on each packet and seal edges of foil. Make sure to leave space for steam to build.
2Preheat grill for medium heat. Place packets on grill rack and allow to cook for 13-15 minutes. Remove from grill and serve warm with a scoop of ice cream on top.
