Fried Lemon Slices

My husband and I were at Eatly in Los Angeles a few weeks ago. We ordered calamari and it came with these incredible Fried Lemon Slices. They were delicious dipped in Aioli.  My daughter Grace tested them out on Mother's Day.

  • Yields: 6 Servings

Ingredients

1 cup vegetable oil

⅓ cup flour

½ teaspoon salt

2 small lemons, thinly sliced

Aioli, for dipping, optional

Directions

1Heat oil in a large skillet until hot but not smoking. Combine flour and salt; dredge lemons. Fry in batches until golden, turning once, 2 to 3 minutes. Serve with Aioli.

That’s a great idea! I just bought the Air Fryer lid for my instant pot. I will try it!

I am obsessed with my air fryer. Just a fraction of the oil and the coating will stick. You can air fry crispy edges too. Love baked lemon slices in stews

I love this idea!! I’m trying to think of ideas where I could serve these with breakfast at my small B&B. Maybe with fried potatoes and onions? Savory crepes? I’d love some additional ideas from others.
