I have many recipes for Chili con Carne, but this is the one I use the most. You can also put it in a crockpot. I always serve it with cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions and corn bread.

15 ounce can green chiles
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 red bell pepper, chopped

1 large onion, chopped
2 Tablespoons olive oil
3 Tbs chili powder
1½ Tablespoons brown sugar
3 teaspoons oregano
2½ Tablespoons ground cumin
Directions
1Place oil in a large stockpot and heat to medium heat. Add ground beef, and cook with stirring until the meat just loses its red color.

3Stir in chili powder, brown sugar, oregano, and cumin, add tomatoes and tomato sauce. Simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
