Buffalo Style Sloppy Joes

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 medium onion, diced

1 garlic clove, minced

1 medium carrot, diced

½ large red pepper, diced

2 celery sticks, diced

1 x 15 ounce can tomato sauce

Franks Hot Sauce, or sauce of your choice, to taste

1½ tablespoons Dijon mustard

1½ tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 - 2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon chili powder

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Ranch dressing, for serving

carrot sticks, for serving

celery sticks, for serving

Directions

1Sear and brown the ground beef. Set aside.

2Over medium-high heat, add a coat of oil to the same pan and sear the onion, carrots, red peppers, and celery. Sauté until soft, about 10 minutes. Then add the garlic. Sauté for a minute. Add the beef back to the pan and stir.

3Add the tomato sauce, hot sauce, Dijon, Worcestershire sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, and chili powder. Mix well and bring it to a boil. Once boiled, cover and let simmer on medium-low heat for 20 - 30 minutes. The liquid will have decreased considerably. Add the salt, black pepper to taste.
