Air Fryer Crispy Parmesan Artichokes

These Air Fryer Crispy Parmesan Artichokes are a game-changer for your appetizer spread! They are incredibly delicious and crispy. The best part? They are wonderfully easy to make and cook in a flash thanks to the air fryer. This makes them the perfect last-minute addition to your menu. Serve them with a bright and creamy homemade Lemon Aioli for dipping. They're guaranteed to be the hit of your next gathering!

Ingredients

1 can whole artichoke hearts in water

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

½ teaspoon garlic powder

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon pepper

½ teaspoon dried oregano

2 tablespoons cornstarch

2 tablespoons finely grated parmesan

Lemon Garlic Aioli

½ cup mayonnaise

2 cloves garlic minced

1 tablespoon finely chopped basil

2 teaspoons lemon zest

1 teaspoon lemon juice

¼ teaspoon salt

Directions

1Preheat the air fryer at 400º F for 5 minutes


2While the air fryer is preheating, remove the artichoke hearts from the can and cut in half (they are delicate so make sure you keep the halves intact)

3Lay two pieces of paper towel on the counter and place the artichoke halves face down on the paper towel to absorb any excess moisture.

4Add the artichoke hearts to a bowl and drizzle in olive oil.

5Add in the garlic powder, salt, pepper, and oregano and gently stir to ensure they are well coated in the seasoning.

6Next add the cornstarch and stir again to ensure all evenly coated.

7Finally add in finely grated parmesan and stir one final time.

8Generously spray the preheated air fryer basket with cooking spray.

9Arrange the artichoke hearts evenly spaced out in the air fryer basket. If there is any excess parmesan from the bottom of the bowl, sprinkle it over the top of the artichokes in the basket.

10Cook them for 5 minutes, after 5 minutes flip each of the artichokes over and then cook for an additional 5 minutes.

11While the artichoke hearts are cooking, stir together all of the ingredients for the aioli.

12Serve the artichoke hearts with the aioli on the side for dipping.
