Tomato, Mozzarella & Pesto Puffs

Tomato, Mozzarella & Pesto Puffs

Tomato, Mozzarella & Pesto Puffs is a great hors d'oeuvres for a party. Scrounging around the pantry, fridge and freezer and actually finding some decent ingredients makes me very happy. I needed a quick hors d'oeuvre and this is what I created. It's a good idea to always have some puff pastry in the freezer!

Shrimp Puffs

Shrimp Puffs

Shrimp Puffs are a super easy appetizer to make and are really delicious! Yes, it's another hors d'oeuvres for all that entertaining you're going to do! This one is very easy and delicious. If you can't find tiny bay shrimp, use regular size shrimp and cut them up. Warning - these are addictive! NB - I made the filling the day before the event.

Artichoke Tapenade

Artichoke Tapenade - This is my Christmas gift to Leslie, because in case she hasn’t mentioned it lately, she loves artichokes. This recipe is about the easiest thing in the world to make in the food processor, and a total crowd-pleaser. I based this on a recipe from David Lebovitz, who got it from Smitten Kitchen, who got it from Mario Batali. So its provenance is solid, to say the least. I used the pitted Castelvetrano green olives currently available in a big jar at Costco.

Shrimp Wonton Cups

Shrimp Wonton Cups

These Shrimp Wonton Cups are a hit at any party. I have to say, hors d'oeuvres are my favorite thing to eat. We often go to restaurants and sit at the bar and order appetizers instead of a full meal. Here's one I recently tested. The next time I would use round wonton wrappers.

Baked Parmesan Green Beans

Baked Parmesan Green Beans

These Baked Parmesan Green Beans are very appealing. They word crispy was used in the title, which I removed. They aren't especially crispy, though they are delicious.

Rosemary Sweet Potato Chips

Rosemary Sweet Potato Chips

Rosemary Sweet Potato Chips are easy to make in the microwave. I managed to make this quick and easy snack while at my mom's in New York. I packed a yam in my suitcase! I wonder what they thought it was when my bag was x-rayed?
