A Blast from the Past

This old time favorite salad dressing from the Bullocks Department Store has been published in the Los Angeles Times many times over the years.

Bullock’s Tea Room Lemon Poppy Dressing

3/4 cups sugar
1 tsp dry mustard
1/3 cup vinegar
1 1/2 Tbs onion juice
1 cups oil
1 1/2 Tbs poppy seeds

Combine sugar, mustard, vinegar and onion juice.

Gradually add oil and whip until smooth.

Add poppy seeds and mix well.

Cover and chill.
