Condensed Milk Ice Cream

Today’s blog comes from Sharon and her daughter Gina (Happy Birthday Gina!), Brisbane, Australia.
This is an old Aussie recipe which is making a comeback, it was featured in our local paper, the Brisbane Courier Mail yesterday. The condensed milk makes a creamy, non grainy ice cream without the need for an ice cream maker, plus it is the easiest recipe ever.
Condensed Milk Ice Cream
600ml / 1¼ pints whipping cream
400g / 14oz Can Condensed Milk
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence
Put all ingredients in a bowl, beat with electric mixer until thick and creamy – approx 7 minutes
Pour into a plastic storage box with lid and freeze overnight.
Serve with crushed chocolate biscuits and Maltesers (Malt Balls)
There are many variations, a swirl of Nutella or Peanut Butter, strawberries, peaches, mango, Oreos, Grand Marnier & orange zest, Baileys & chocolate biscuits, Framboise & raspberries.
