Maple Cinnamon Whipped Cream

Happy Thanksgiving! I am writing this in my bed while my husband is dealing with the turkey and stuffing, which I have pre-prepped, chopped and organized into a gallon sized zip-lock bag to make it easy. Otherwise, I would feel guilty lying in bed!
Anyway, here is a way to “jazz” (jazz hands are appropriate here) up your whipped cream using maple syrup.
Maple Cinnamon Whipped Cream
1 cup heavy cream
2 Tbs maple syrup
1 Tbs granulated sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
Beat the cream on high speed until it begins to thicken and get slightly stiff. Add the maple syrup, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon to the cream. Continue whipping the cream until it forms stiff peaks.
This maple cinnamon whipped cream recipe makes enough whipped cream to cover 1 pie or to serve with 6 to 8 desserts.
