Fruit Slush

On a lighter, non-fried food note, I had this fruit slush at an Amish buffet breakfast at the Das Dutchman Essenhaus restaurant. It is really delicious and refreshing after eating biscuits and gravy! It’s a great thing to have in your freezer. My aunt, Elba, gave me the recipe! She wrote a note on the bottom that says, “add malibu rum for adults”!
I am going to make it tonight, along with the deep fried dill pickles for my family.
Fruit Slush
Serves 6
2 cups sugar
3 cups boiling water
6 oz can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
20 oz can crushed pineapple in juice
2 large bananas, diced
Mix sugar and water until sugar is dissolved, cool. Mix orange juice as directed on can, add mashed bananas and stir in the pineapple. You may add any other fruit you want.
Freeze in little individual cups. Allow to thaw to slush stage and serve.
