Healthy, Crunchy & Delicious
My friend, Melissa, called me a few days ago. She had lost a recipe that I had given her. It’s a family favorite. My mother-in-law got the recipe in the early ‘80s from a Weight Watchers cookbook. We call it Chow Mein Burgers. My sister-in-law has a completely different name for it, which I don’t know how to spell! She will have to comment on this.
I guess I should now tell you what it is – it’s a turkey burger that you serve without a bun. Personally, I loathe turkey, but these are really good. They are low fat and are crunchy. I love crunchy! You can serve them with brown rice (or any other kind of rice), and sugar snap or snow peas (more crunch!)
This is a must-try!
