Frozen Grapes

Yesterday, it was HOT! I’m talking really hot – 105 degrees, plus 50% humidity hot. Southern California never has humidity. I know that anyone from the east or south would laugh. I guess if you jack up the humidity and throw in some enormous mosquitos and hundreds of other insects it might be similar. It’s what Tom Robbins would call “an obscene phone call from nature”. Anyway, my friend Louis came over with his lovely daughter Mary to swim. We started with iced tea and then moved on to chilled Pinot Grigio, which did not stay chilled long. That is when my husband brought out a bowl of frozen grapes and Louis promptly put them in this glass of wine like ice cubes. What a simple, but brilliant idea….
