Steamed Gingered Broccoli

The blending of toasted sesame oil and ginger elevate the simplest dishes. This Steamed Gingered Broccoli takes little effort for big results. You can substitute other vegetables for the broccoli, green beans, sliced cabbage, carrots, kale, etc.

Ingredients

2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil

2 teaspoons fresh ginger, minced

1 bunch broccoli, cut into florets

Pinch sea salt

1 teaspoon soy sauce

Directions

1In a large frying pan or saucepan, heat oil and sauté ginger over medium-low heat for 1 minute. Add broccoli and salt to the skillet, sauté a minute more, then add water to cover the bottom of pan. Cover and steam until broccoli is just tender-crisp and still bright green (about 5 minutes). Uncover broccoli, sprinkle with soy sauce. Toss and serve.
