Marmite Popcorn

I happen to love snacks. In fact, if I could, I would eat snacks instead of real meals, but that would send the wrong message to my (now adult) children. One of my favorite snacks is from the UK called Twiglets. It's definitely an acquired taste. It's marmite covered twigs. Doesn't that sound appealing?! Since they are difficult to find here and rather expensive, this Marmite Popcorn fits the bill.

  • Cook: 5 mins

Ingredients

¼ cup popcorn kernels

1 tablespoon of butter

1 teaspoon of Marmite

Directions

1Make plain popcorn.

2Put in a large bowl and set aside.

3Melt the tablespoon of butter in a medium-sized saucepan over a stove on a low heat.

4When the butter is almost melted, add a teaspoon of Marmite. Mix well with a wooden spoon.

5Add the mixture to the popped popcorn, stir well and serve immediately.

So, you don’t cook the popcorn in the marmite and butter mix?

This is great stuff…IF you mike Marmite, which I do! I would double down on the butter/Marmite mix.
